Our beautiful families are at the heart of everything we do.
We have curated useful information and resources especially for you.
We embrace the children and their families as our very own. We invite you to make FELC your home away from home. We hold events and workshops for families to attend… we would love to see you and yours there. Please connect with us to hear about events! Keep an eye on your email inbox, Storypark, Facebook and Instagram. Get to know your room leaders and educators. We connect deeply with our families to learn about the children and to develop strategies and programs to best meet their specific likes and needs.
We have an open-door policy, our families are welcome to visit anytime throughout the day. We encourage educators to collaborate with families, knowing they are the child’s first teacher. We are always eager to learn about significant events in the children’s lives, so we can build upon these at FELC and make the transition between home and daycare as smooth as possible.
We invite parents to share what is important to you and your children with us. You can do this through the room educators, through the Storypark app or via email.
Things to share… You could talk about your job, your home country, you could read a family favourite book with the children – whatever you like!
FELC is a not-for-profit centre with a management committee made up of our wonderful parents and community members.
The committee assists the management team with strategic decision making and the planning and execution of upgrades and improvements at the centre. Most importantly the committee offers an important link between parents and the staff at FELC. Parents play a vital role in how decisions are made at the Centre for the wellbeing and development of the children.
We invite parents to attend the AGM which is open to all and to nominate to join the committee. As well as being a very serious role, we also have huge amounts of fun and enjoy a special bond with committee members and the FELC team.
Coming along to our community events, helping out at busy bees, being involved in the parent-committee, uploading your stories and photos from home, coming to our parent nights and end of year concerts and graduations… all these things extend your experience with FELC. We look forward to welcoming you.
