We proudly celebrate the rich and diverse backgrounds of FELC’s families, education team and broader community.
We have a wonderful history to our centre which was established in 1987. Mothers who had migrated to the area needed childcare and so, they started off what we now know today as Fremantle Early Learning Centre.
With international perspectives embedded in our centre from the beginning, celebrating diversity and working alongside families has remained core to our philosophy through the years, it has evolved to always reflect current values of our families, team and community.
We proudly care for children with rich cultural diversity and we actively celebrate our families’ history, culture and traditions. Promoting a strong sense of belonging in the children we care for is a core value for the team at Fremantle Early Learning Centre.
Family input allows educators to shape the rooms curriculum and celebrate one and all. Families are invited to share cultural stories, songs, food and special things to enrich programming and interactions in the rooms.
Such a valuable way to get to know each other and to build positive attitudes towards cultural differences in our community.
